I generally play without shoes. Unfortunately, this makes some techniques that require playing with a slick-bottomed shoe out of my reach.

I find converse all stars the best, or anything along those lines.
I've seen old footage of Bonham playing in those cowboy boots with the really thick cuban heel.. Shocked

I tried some Puma Speed Cat's....holy shit Shocked

They were great. The sole is really thin, but still grippy and they look classy. They literally felt so light and flexible, almost like ballet slippers.

Not that I know what ballet slippers feel like. Laughing
