One of the engineers I've been working with and I just came to a strange conclusion. If you import an mp3 into Cubase to play/track to, it'll be slightly laid against the click from the original .wav. Just a little FYI.

No, it's the same tempo. It just doesn't sit the same way. So what happens is that my tracks don't sit properly on the other end because they're too far behind the beat.

Yep. I put the .wav into the saved file that I sent to the engineer, in place of the mp3, and holy crap...I felt embarrassed. It was like I fully sucked! The only difference, aside from a few of the levels, between the two mixes was how they were saved. Probably has something to do with the compression for an mp3.
