How do I get studio experience?
When I was looking for a band many of them rejected me because I had no studio experience so I need to know how I can get it.

do you have any friends with home recording setups?

how long have you been playing for? the studio is a completely different world. I advise getting some cheap mics and recording yourself to start off with if you're truly interested in being a recording drummer. It's better than getting into a studio and becoming the deer in the headlights.

really the only way to get studio experience is to get in a studio. the only way to get in a studio is to either meet people who are recording and impress them to the point of wanting you on their record/demo/whatever or book some studio time yourself/get a setup/find a friend who records. friends are invaluable in the music arena. you will never ever get a gig if you're sitting at home practicing wondering why you're not getting gigs. get out there and socialize!

also, do you maybe have a college close by that has a sound/recording technology department? there's oftentimes a need for drummers on sessions in those sorts of situations. if the school has a bulletin board by the studio, post your name up.

There are a few colleges around me. I go tomorrow and see if they have a sound/recording department.

There you go. One good thing to do is offer free recording while you gain your experience. Like BillRay says, you have to be a slut before you can be a whore.

Like Alan said though, it really is a completely different world. I'm really comfortable on stage but I tend to be a bit neurotic in my studio. Are the levels set right, is anything clipping, are all of the tracks on, etc.. I've found that a brief meditation period helps me to relax enough to play.

Another thing you might want to do is find a studio that does alot of tracking and see if you can "observe" some sessions.

well one thing i learned recently is playing to a click is supposed to be really hard for most drummers and that if you can do it then it's going to sound a lot better than with out it, i plan on trying that next time i record.

What helped me is having a home recording studio so you could know the process do
you have any friends with a home studio??

Me and my buddy have set up a home studio and we have tried out alot of stuff. We got pretty good and now we charge kids to come record with us. This is a good way to get experience. I also was with a band in the studio and learned sooo much.
