I've got 2 ddrum pro kick triggers and one of them has stopped working. If I jam it on the drum, and I mean REALLY jam it on the drum, and pound the shit out of the drum, it will barely pick up what i'm doing. Does anybody out there have any ideas on how to get this sucker working, if that's even possible? I'm in the middle of 4 shows in 4 days; all with horrible sound guys who only have 1 kick mic and no stores where I live carry triggers to replace the bad one. I'm open to any and all input. The first thing I'd check would be the threshhold of that trigger's channel in the module. Maybe it's set too high?

Does it work if it you take it off the drum and tap it? I know they are sensitive to how hard they are pressed against the head, make sure the trigger is contacting the haed properly. Try swaping the cables between the triggers, leaving them plugged in at the module. That will tell you if its the trigger or not. If it is, pull the trigger of the drum and inspect it to see the foam tape that holds it in place is intact. The trigger has two thin wires, make sure they aren't damaged

It's the same thing when I take it off the drum, I really have to hammer it to get it to respond. Also did the cable swap and inspecting and there's nothing obviously wrong with it. Any other ideas?

You probobly need to replace it with a new one. Did you get them new?

sounds like either the piezo or one of the wires inside is busted.

it should be the threshold seeting up way to high what module are you using?

I use a DM4. The trigger was definitely the problem; I bought a new one and everything's fine now. Thankx

I took the transducer off the pad and it was broken in half. How that happened is beyond me, but it was
