I'm trying to run this off Windows Vista, but whenever I open it up to load it all I get is this message:

C:\Users\ashleydrums\Desktop\Kit Constructor>java -cp XMLConverter.jar XMLConver
ter
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: XMLConverter

C:\Users\ashleydrums\Desktop\Kit Constructor>Pause
Press any key to continue . . .

And when I press any key to continue it just disappears and nothing happens. Is it something that i'm doing wrong or is it just a problem with the kit constructor for Vista?

Cheers.
I believe you need to import the files first in order to open them. If this doesn't help PM Screamkevin. Sorry Kev, it's your sticky. Wink

Thats why i posted a reply here hoping that ScreamKevin would be able to answer my question, but once again no luck.

Nevermind. But thanks guys for trying to help me out, you efforts are very well appreciated.

I had no problems and I just followed the guide step by step!

Make sure to extract to your desktop or a folder somewhere or the KC file won't start!

Yeah, thats what I meant by importing them. Also, you could ask SGarrett, he had the same hurdle when he tried it.

Sorry folks, but I've been working my new job, plus we've had a ton of work with my internet company, I've been here on DML for maybe 5 min a day if that.

Ashley, to answer your question: Download the KC program into a folder on your desktop. Extract all the files in the same location, and it should run fine. I do say should, because I am running my program on WinXPPro, and am not a Vista user. But it should work, with the research that I've done.

Ash,

I wish I could help, mate, but I've no idea what's going on there. It may be a glitch in Vista, but I do know that some users here are Vista users and they are getting it to work. Perhaps delete what you've got, try a fresh new download and extraction, and give it another go? If that doesn't work, inquire as to some of the Vista users here on what course of action to take.

Kevin

i dont suppose anyone found a fix for this:

looks like a great tool, but I cant get it to work. Java is fully updated. I get this error message.

will try it on my home machine later on, just wondering what I am doing wrong?

I picked a background, at it came up in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo x2. So then I tried to pick a bass drum and it replaced the entire background with just the picture of the bass. ????????????????????????????????????????????????
