Post Three new tracks from my debut EP.
I've upped three tracks from upcoming EP temporarily up on my myspace. After a few days I'll up the other three tracks from the EP and take these ones down.

Check 'em out, just finished mixing today. I'll hopefully finish the artwork and get the CDs printed up in the next couple of weeks, unfortunately I go back to work on Wednesday and Uni the Wednesday after so I'm running out of time.

Track Listing:
1. Early Morn'
2. A Vicissitude
3. Memento Mori
4. The Optimist
5. Illegal Passenger
6. When The Walls Fall

Keys on tracks 3 and 5 and some of the extra vocals on 1, 3 and 5 were performed by my friend and fellow band mate Daniel Kahn. The rest was performed by me.

Three gloriously new tracks, enjoy! I feel they're three different tracks so check them all out, be sure to check out When the Walls Fall too, just recorded that one today. It's a nice short'un.

That's seems the problem to me.. Don't rush things. Have a stricter eye on timing and intonation.
Your ideas are brilliant, I like than piano "Orgelton". All together sounds a little like Cake to me.

I still have time to change minor things before I burn the master, what do you think is wrong with
When the Walls Fall?

When the walls fall
1. Intonation. You are slightly out of tune. Try to sing the notes more correctly, each single one.
2. Tempo is a little too fast for my taste, it's a short piece, give it more time to breath.
3. Pan the voices a little more out of center. Adds a little transparency.

Illegal Passenger
1. Here you sing in tune. Again pan the voices a little more. yes the "Rise up" chorus is great.
2. Hihat is too loud for my taste sometimes.
This is a great piece and I bet you worked a little longer on it.

A Vicissitude
1. The unisono hits (stanza one may say) in the beginning are sometimes a little out of timing, but one may argue about this.
2. You sing great on this one, the melody really reminds me of Cake. Again intonation could be worked on a little. When you sing 2 voices simultaneously they should exactly the same timing. When you sing alone its great, in the moment you add second voice to it it gets awkward.

Don't get me wrong. I would not listen into music like this If do not like it Smile
I hope this is constructive enough. Ah and the drumming is perfect, cool stuff Smile

A Vcissitude:
The instruments sound disconnected to the point of sounding out of time.

Illegal Passenger:
Sounds good.

When The Walls Fall:
Vocal intonation, again.
Personally, I think the ostinato is a little annoying. Maybe try walking it around a bit to create a counter melody.

All in all, I like what you're doing and it sounds pretty good. Keep at it and you're going to really have something. Smile

Thanks it's all helpful.

It's hard to take criticism but I do agree with most of what you guys have said.

I actually found the drumming really tough because as its all my own stuff I never really
had a chance to play along to it. The timing is far from perfect but thanks for ignoring that. Very Happy

I'll see if I get a chance to fix up anymore stuff. It's just a debut demo/EP and I'm already running
over budget.

Cheers though. I'll post up the other ones in a couple of days.

I agree, it can be a hard pill to swallow at times but it will ultimately help. At least it's all constructive, yes? Smile

Just stuff to keep in mind for the next time.

I've chucked up two different songs now and left Illegal Passenger up there.

The new ones are The Optimist and Memento Mori.
