 Building drums section!
If any one has any questions, post them here. I'll post some stickies with places to get parts and whatnot.

I have a question about bearing edges. I was thinking of buying shells and cutting the edges. Except I don't know how to cut my own edges. I own a router and a table for it. Are there any websites out there with diagrams or pictures to show you how?

Thanks PJ for starting this. It's great for this to have it's own section.

agreed... great section... but for the love of god... could we wipe out a few of the other ones?
this board has gone from clean and simple to cluttered and confusing...
i really think it's scaring people off...

I do agree with you on that one. Most of the stuff has stagnated too. People just don't look around or comment like they use too.

You'll have to take that up with Greg. He's the one weilding the power to add and take away sections.
The only sections I'm not fond of are the cymbal brands and Buddy Rich/Neil Peart sections.

if you are capable of using a router/table then just make sure the shells are cut perfectly even and parallel to each other. there are a few different ways to cut the edges too! good luck!
