And apparently he uses a Trick pedal.

That's a nice setup. I have to ask if your setup was modeled after his?

Yes but all of my favorite drummers/influences use Zildjian-sigh! But at least Bill Stevenson from The Descendents uses Paiste! Yaya!

my setup is more modelled after aaron gillespie's, but mike ambrose's actual drumming influences me a lot.
my band plays a very similar style of music to set your goals, so it's nice to have a drummer like him to look up to.
is that a trick pedal? i though it was an axis longboard with one of those covers on it. i was just suprised to find out that he didn't use a double pedal. either he's recently switched to single and used a double on their recordings, or that man has one quick foot.

does he by any chance use OCDP? its just the bass drum looks deep, like Travis Barker and Chad Sextons - it seems OCDP like their basses deep

He's using an SJC custom set, pretty sweet.

yeah, i think his kick is 20" diamater by 24" deep, which makes it look even longer than it is because of the smaller diameter than most people who get a bassdrum like that.
