Is there anyplace that sells the hardware to make a free floating snare drum? I have a 14x6 maple shell that I messed up when I was drilling the holes. I thought this could be a way of using the shell.

YOu can buy replacement shells for free floaters but you have to get the hardware from Pearl, which means you have to buy a complete snare.

idk what exactly you mean by free floating snare, but you can probably by a second hand Tama star cast rim and tom mount for a 14 inch tom and use that on your snare.
