Post A custom 14" hi hats or A mastersounds?
I recently very luckily found some A custom 14" hi hats. I'm not too keen on the sound though. My friends said he'd swap his A mastersounds (brilliant finish) for these, is this a good swap? I play in a metal hardcore band.

If your wanting a more mellow crisp sound go for the mastersounds. They sound really good, I play on them as well.

I'm not to fond of the plain a custom hats.

Hmm, I like the crisp but not mellow. Ideally I want some A custom mastersounds.

I have the regular A custom hats and am very pleased with them. But when I get my new kit I'll probably be getting some A custom Mastersounds

I think you should just save up and by the 14 inch Zildjian K's. you would be so happy with those. good for all types of music. you cant beat them. they are a little pricey, but hey when you are a musician, you need to spend the money. i know i enjoy them, and im pretty sure anyone else who uses them, enjoys them too.

I tried the mastersound hihat few months ago and I'm in love with those hats. I really like the sound it produces, especially when it's used to play rock music. I'm also thinking of getting one but to be honest, I think that these hats are more expensive than the other ones like A custom or K hybrid, etc...

Just got my new 14" A Custom Mastersounds in the mail Monday. I don't know how in the hell I thought I could play anything else. I absolutely love them. And yes, whomever said it (don't feel like looking back, sorry) that bottom hat, YUM. Totally spoils ya.

They just have such a commanding presence and sound when you play them.

I wouldnt get those. my friend has them and while they do sound good. I would reccomebd them to someone who was looking into dark complex cymbals. your looking at bring crisp cymbals. Do not get the K's. the a mastersounds are accually goa be a bit more crisp than the a custom mastersounds. but the a customs mastersounds are gonna be brighter ad in my oppinion beter sounding.
