Post Home Recording - Please Explain
I've been looking into buying some home recording equipment for some time now and have done a fair amount of research- I have a budget of about $1500. I am looking to upgrade from a Zoom H2- which I have been using for the past year or so. It has worked brilliantly up untill recently when it was broken at a gig. Amazing strory actually- but to make a long story short- it found itself under a wheel of a car, and well... The guy will be adding a few dollars on to the above budget.

Post Oops!
Sorry 'bout that - didn't realize there was a much better spot for this!
- Is there any way to change that?

From there you'll need mic's, something like a PreSonus FirePod to plug the mic's into, and recording program.

I've been told this guy is quite clean sounding. I like the veriable angles for the mics.

FatherTime- the sony product you recomended, does it allow for combining with other mics? Because a couple of my band mates have some condenser mics that they have brought along in the past- that or they will want to record directly into the progam we are currently using.

Yeah,he Firepod is great.
the Firepods come with a copy of Cubase LE, but I never used mine.
If you use it, all you need is mics.
