the only thing i have to say is on the left hand

Thanks.

It helps when you start playing on a kit (6 months ago for me) already capable of 300 bpm rolls.

Overall pretty good I must say. Nothing wrong. It may just be the video quality but I'm sure you could hit that without as much tension/being loose (nto saying you weren't but it seemed like so in a few spots but not in a bad way)

Those sticks look like Vic Firth Metals, you should practice with marching sticks. Good chops.

sco jo's > Hardimons

but yea sound pretty spiffy to me, i would try and buff up your left hand like shine said some of those doubles need some cleaning up. apart from that it sounds good and your technique looks fine to me

if u want to try out for DCI i would get alot more stick tricks and rim shots. rudiments and flams are very important from what i have experienced at comps...ive never been to dci but i have competed. check out some DCI videos on youtube and just work on showmanship, speed, and technicality.

I think you might want to try making your flams a bit tighter (mainly left hand). To me they sound really open, more like something you want to play on concert snare, but since marching snares are so articulate, I think it sounds clearer when they are a bit tighter. Also your right hand sticks out of your singles. It might be because you are playing traditional and the sound quality from each stick slightly differs, or it might be a height thing, it was hard to tell from the video. As far as DCI goes, it can't hurt to try out. If you think that Blue Devils would be a stretch, I’m sure there is some smaller corps in your area. Keep up the work though; you have some nice chops and control.
