Post Thank you DW
I know that there has been quite a debate regarding DW drums on this forum. However, I recently had to send one of my DW drums back to the factory for a warranty issue. DW sent me a new drum - no charge - since it was under warranty! So a big "Thank You" goes out to the people at Drum Workshop. I did pay for all of my DW drums, by the way - nothing was given to me for free.

I had a similar experience with DW when one of the bass drum spurs stripped out. The warranty had expired and I explained that to them. There were no questions asked other than owner info. They sent me a replacement at no charge.

Thats customer service.....and well after the sale to boot!

I've had good and bad experiences with them, bad has really been down to how much are you going to spend attitude, but I've always been pleased with their customer service when dealing with them on any other issues.

Yeah, the inside and the wing nut for my bass drum spur stripped out a couple of days ago but I was able to fabricate it back together. I doubt Tama would send me another one since the set is 11 years old Crying or Very sad

But that is definitely good Customer Service I'd say for sure.

The finish has split in a few spots and this was on a Bass drum which sees frequent usage. DW did me right on this! For some people, DW is too successful for to be able to do anything right (from what I have read here and on other forums).

Their warranty EXPIRES?

Holy Crap.

Which might just possibly be their next big selling point. 10 years Original Owner or something like that. It would be cool to see.

My biggest concern was that the finish of my drums has been out of production for sometime. But they still had it around.
