 Snare stands too high.
I've been having a lot of trouble finding a decent snare stand that goes low enough. I have a 7" deep snare and the only snare stands that seem to go low enough are tama ones. I've tried pearl, big dog, pdp and dw, (the dw was only too high because of the memory clamp, but it was stuck so i couldnt take it off, it may well still be too high mind. Anyone know any other decent snare stands beside tama that go pretty low?

DW has a low boy version of the 9300.
Im using a 9300, and one of the midrange Yamahas...... I have 18-20-22-24" BDs and use from a 5 to 8 snare depending on which kit is out. I have used the 8" with the yamaha stand on a 20-12-14ft-16ft set up without any problem. I sit with my thighs just about level.

I have a Soundpercussion snare stand that actually goes pretty low. It's probably not the greatest quality if it's anything like their drumsticks, but I can get it to go lower than I want it.

I use a Ludwig Modular Low snare stand and it goes very low, low enough for me to put a 12x14 marching snare in the normal snare position.

THAT is low.
Yeah, I have this elderly ludwig snare stand that goes pretty damn low. It's strange.

I wonder if a Rim mount for a floor tom would work? Never seen it, but it might be an option with some slight modifications.
