I can't tell if my AA 18" Medium crash has a crack in it. It kinda makes the sound of the cymbal hitting metal (like when you just put it on a stand w/o the felt or plasitc rings), but i have looked over the cymbal several times and have found nothing. I thought it was maybe the stand so I put it on another and the cymbal still sounds cracked, whats up?

I have this problem. I thought my cymbal was cracked as well.

Change out the plastic cymbal protector (the thing that's between the cymbal and the metal shaft).

You should notice that you don't get this noise anymore.


Post again if that doesn't work.

yea, i thought thats what it was too, but i put um on and i know the cymbal isnt hitting metal, but it still sounds cracked. thanks for the suggestion tho.
