Most good boom stands on musiciansfriend are around $100-200. Most companies make good stands. I personally like yamaha stands but they are just the same as the other ones.

What do you want to spend? If you don't make this clear, it's just a guessing game for everyone.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to explain what cymbal(s) you intent to mount on it, if it's going to hold and toms, etc. The more info you provide, the more likely you'll find someone who may be willing to help you.
If you're really serious about your intent to buy, you may want to provide some feedback from previous net transactions (i.e. Ebay, Paypal) and how you intend to pay for the item (i.e. money order, cashier's cheque, Paypal, etc.)

I use the straight version's of those b b253, they are pretty sturdy and well made for the price. I think they're great.

i have 2 of those PDP 800's and for the price they are as solid as my 95.00 pearl boom stand which doesnt convert to strait like the 800 does, great stands for cheap.

The PdP 800 is probably the vest value out there because they sell NEW for less money than people want to charge for USED.
Add in that free freight deal from MF and you have a real winning combination! Too bad it takes 3 to get the free shipping!

I've got two of those exact stands. My ONLY complaint, is that they don't lower enough to hold my rid in a comfortable enough position easily, takes a lot of maneuvering around. Other than that, they're amazing. One of them holds an 18" crash and 14" floor tom for me.
