I know, I went into a shop once and asked if they had any 'paste' and they looked at me funny as if to say 'we're not a stationary store, you're crazy'

Pie-stee. Quite a few people don't know better and call them 'paste' but luckily I was taught pie-stee when I first got my 802's. Smile

All of you guys who know how to pronounce this correctly and choose not to, are beyond lazy. In fact, you're the epitome of the "lazy American". Do you also say "lin-geree" for lingerie because you're too lazy to pronounce it correctly? How about if people intentionally mispronounced your name out of laziness?

Pet peeve of mine. I had a co-worker who insisted on saying "Sah-be-on" for Sabian and another one who insisted on saying "As-pee-ray" for LP Aspire products. Both did so because they thought it sounded better, until the rep reamed them out for misrepresentation of the brand names.

See i always thought it was pronounced PIE-STE (like saying paste but replace pa wit pie)

So then there wouldn't be an emphasis of the ee at the end of what most people think is the correct pronounciation
