Mapex M Birch vs Pro M
I was afraid about the jazz sets until i saw a man playing the Enter sandman and the Mater Of puppets on a jazz set!!
It was sounding better with the toms of the jazz set!!!
So, i remembered you telling me that there is no problem to play metal on fusion and jazz sets..
So now with my price range i am between Mapex M Birch and Pro M..What to get in your opinion??

do just go off of one persons opinion,
can you go into a shop somewhere and try them both out possibly?
if not try to find some sound clips of them and go from there
it's really about what YOU want, not what someone else thinks about it...

Pro M's are all maple, and Mapex has a reputation for great drums on this board. There's like 20 people I know of on here that love their Mapex's.
Rockstar's have an outer ply of birch, and then the inner plies are basswood.
Maple is a much higher-quality tonal wood than basswood, so I'd go with the Pro M's.

this guy ios doing it right and that tom he is using is small (10 inch maybe), so ui'm guessing you can do it with jazz or fusion. i say go with fusion, have a big bass drum and reasonably small toms.

Just try kits out until you find what you want. And of course you can use a Fusion/Jazz size kit for metal.

I was wondering the same thing. They're fairly close in price. How much better is the Pro M than M Birch and is it worth it to get Pro M?

dont get the thomann drum stool its rubbish. ive bought one its very basic hense why its cheap and it doesnt last. you can get a decent one for about 50euro. what about the mapex one there for 58euro. 14" wide 4 " of cushion sounds good to me!
