well the sweet ride can be crashed and causes some wat of a crash cymbal noise its very popular crashing ride and i was wondering if a 20" medium a custom would still have the crashing ability becuase alot of rides dont they just sound like a big goong but i think the a customs have the crashing ability just need someone to back it up

If you like A Customs, go for it. Yes, it will be incredibly crashable and they usually make better crashes than rides.

yeh, if u dont have any cymbals get a pack, but if ur upgrading in my mind i would go straight to the top one cymbal at a time (if ur serious that is) rather than upgrading them one level at a time

the sweet ride has an AWESOME crash!!! the 20" medium a custom ride can crash very well but not as good as the sweet ride
sweet ride -
+great for crashing
+overall good ride
-duller bell than medium a custom ride
medium a custom ride -
+great ping
+sharp bell
-doesn't crash as well as sweet ride
these are my comparisons of the two, make you a list of your likes and dislikes such as that, and just play em some where and see which one you like better.

ive actually just got back from my local music shop , and me and the guy working there were having a chat about cymbals i tried out a fair few cymbals and my favourites were surpisingly different then wat id thaught. i think im going to go for some 13" k hybrid hats they are so nice very crisp but sound awesome both semi open and shut very nice and a 21" armand series ride its got a nice strong bell nice stick defention and its sweet as crash to. i can get over those k hybrid hats there the nicest sounding cymbal ive ever heard !@
