Hello Everybody...

I've decided to sell my beloved acoustic drum kit. I'm going to purchase an electronic kit so I can actually play sometimes (neighbors, etc.)

Since I'm not willing to ship anything, I'm going to place an ad in the local paper and place flyers in various places in my area. I am wondering if some of you can give me an idea on the price point I have in mind since I'm a little out of the loop these days?

I'm not looking to price jab someone. But I don't want to rip myself off either. I just want to sell everything for an honest, fair price. I was thinking I'll ask about $1,800 for everything. Originally I paid somewhere in the $4,000 range for everything listed. But it was some time ago.

Here's the stats:

Eight Piece - Complete Kit
“Midnight Blue Metallic” color
Lacquer clear coat finish (not plastic-covered)

2 - 22” Bass Drums (1 is not pictured)
10” Mounted Tom
11” Mounted Tom (Not Pictured)
13” Mounted Tom
16” Floor Tom (Not Pictured)
18” Floor Tom
14” Wooden Snare Drum - Silver

Zildjian Cymbals:
14” Rock Hi-Hats
18” Ride
17” Medium Crash
18” Medium Crash
10” K Splash
18” China Boy – High
14” Paper Thin Crash

Hardware:
Tama Cymbal Stands
Pearl Double Bass Drum Pedal
Pearl Hi-Hat Stand
Throne

Not Pictured:
Pearl Remote Hi-Hat Stand
Anvil Hard Shell Drum Cases (with high-density foam inner lining)
Anvil Hard Shell Hardware Case w/casters (no foam lining)

The kit is in good condition. Minor scratches on toms, but not on the sides visible to an audience. Minor pitting on cymbal stands/hardware, but would polish up without much effort, (I've done that before and they turn out great.) Cymbals need some polishing too, but they sound great and are not cracked, chipped or warped. The toms sound like cannons.

Hello CHRISisDRUMS4... I'd really prefer to sell the cymbals with the kit, complete. I think it'll be easier/more-practical to sell that way, if ya dig. However, if it does not work out and/or someone just wants to buy the drums only, I could certainly let you know if you'd like.

Hey b b253... I will have to get back to you on that. Sorry, I really hadn't considered splitting up the complete kit.

P.S: Do you guys live near me? Please note, as I mentioned in my post, that I am not willing to ship anything... I was just more or less looking for thoughts / comments regarding the price point I had in mind. This forum seems pretty quiet though, so no biggie.
