I really like them they really are not as dark as one would think they are in the middle of bright and dark. The 16" is really sorta shimmering and brighter and the 18" is just a tad darker and has a really cool and long sustain I mostly use it as a crash and I would say it sounds similar to a menil byzance.

They look really cool, especially the prototype crash.

i like the finish on the earthworks cymbals, but i gotta ask...it looks like it got caught in a light acid rain storm or something lol, does that actually effect the sound you think, or does Saluda just do it for looks?

i have no idea if you know either way, i figured i'd ask

It's for looks you actually could buff it off and have it look like a traditional cymbal with a groove juice like product. I only wipe the dust off of mine because I want it to sound darker anyways.
