It all boils down to the style you are playing and what sounds good to you. I play an A custom Sweetride with Z customs on occasion and they blend fine. I would suggest going to the local music shop and giving them a listen. Peace on ya!

Don't feel tight, just make sure that you ask questions. I'm suggesting that the A Custom will be much brighter than K Hats, but it's all in what your ear hears. K's are darker, smokier cymbals, while A Customs are bright, airy, and shimmery.

While you're at the store, see if there's some K Rides for you to try, or at least an Avedis (A series) there.

I also used a ZBT rock hihat and A Zildjian Ping Ride, which both has a totally different characteristic of sound (bright and dark) and they both mix well! You should try them and if needed, bring your hihat too so you can see how are they if they're played together in a set! Good Luck!

i havent got them yet but ive played them a fair bit at the shops me and the guy there who works there were chatting about them he said there some of the best hats hes heard , and they are rearly nice i tried the 13" and some 13"s dont cut through to well but these do. they are rearly versitile i played some funky hi hat beats on them and some punk/rock songs on them and they sound pretty nice. im probably going to buy some soon and i play alot of different stuff but rock is definately in my genre so yer Cool
