Dude, it looks great!
By the way, how do you like that Blue Kickball? I was looking at one, but I wasn't sure about going out on a limb for a mic...

I found an acrolite at a thift store once for $15, best $15 i ever spent lol. It looked like someone had gotten it and just let it sit all those years (no idea what year it is). it even still had the original ludwig heads on it. i bought it as a second snare in case of emergencies but has turned into my main snare.
congrats on your find!

Thank you.
I really like the KickBall and its three way setting. On the low gain it picks up a lot of the body and the high gain picks up a lot of attack, I usually leave it in the middle for both. I was as surprised as John Holmes' prom date at how big it is.

Dude, now that is a freaking score! Way cool.
Yeah, I'm already thinking that I'm going to need another one of these. Zen's sending me a Super Sensitive strainer and that puppy's living in the studio. And I know I'm going to want one of these for live work. I'm thinking of something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140223295836&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

Any sound clips?
