Ah, there we go. Share a technique. Smile

I like the push/pull techique and use it often.

Good to hear, it's one of my favourite techniques, I'm trying to apply it to single strokes as shown in the second vid I posted, but it's really quite tricky! There's a vid of JoJo Mayer doing a 280bpm single stroke roll with that technique, and he makes it look so effortless damn him!

Anywho here's another video on double strokes, this one goes through a couple of different techniques and is quite long but worth it...

Yeah it is, I add it and the other two to my favorites. Never can learn too much about playing techniques. Smile

I just remembered a tip I got for working on accenting the second note of the double while making it more musical. Make it a shuffle, *duh-DAT duh-DAT* and so forth.

Here's that Jojo Mayer vid, he's doing a push/pull single stroke roll:

This is 32nd notes, so the final one is 280 in 16th's!

Got to love Jojo. I wonder what he would get if he competed in WFD and stuff like that.

And while Derrick Pope is a good teacher, can't watch him for long. Something about his voice. Laughing

hey Garrett,
that's similar to what I teach but I like to think of it as like a dotted eighth/sixteenth, instead of a shuffle, which is an eighth note triplet feel, minus the center note of the triplet.
