im in the market for new cymbals and my eye struck this one becuase i can get it alot cheaper then an a series sweet ride but i dont know if it will still give me the same crashing abilities or close to of the a series sweet ride any opnions or experiences? much apreciated in advance

I personally dont like a custom rides for cracshing. esp. the a custom ping ride.

And I personally think the A Custom Ping Ride is fantastic for crashing. I've used a 22" one on one album and I'll use the same on this upcoming album. It works beautifully...BUT, that's also a matter of opinion.

You will not get the same crashing abilities you would get from a sweet ride. The a custom ride & ping have more attack and less wash.

In my opinion go for the sweet ride or maybe the brilliant finish sweet ride.

I have both actually.

My Sweet Ride is my main ride and has great crashability, but lacks definition sometimes. That's why I'm switching to nylon tipped sticks.

My A Custom Ride is my aux ride, set up with a sizzler on it. I don't get too much definition from it either (though more than the Sweet Ride).

I recommend the Sweet Ride for crashing. Travis Barker used to play one (might still).

i use a custom 20' ride and a custom medium 20' ride. i also have 4 a custom a crashes. my band mates say the a custom 20'' ride is my best crash lol. i crash it all the time sounds awesome. the medium is not (imo) sound good for a crash. not sure on the sweet ride never played one.
