I got the 18" Crush Ride. it's really sweet. I mostly use it for crash ride patterns. It's neat because i can make the crash ride sound really clean or really washy. It can also double as a soft sounding ride, for quiet parts in a song. Plus hitting the edge has a nice quick crash, that sounds very unique.

it can sound mean and scary, but it has a sensitive side too. Hard hits make small children cry. Soft hits are seductive and sensual.

The name isnt gay... it really does make a "crushing" sound. The Paiste website discribes how to get this effect. hit the outer edge with the shaft of the stick. It makes a killer "cusssh...cusssh...cusssh...cusssh" sound. Crush Ride is the perfect name.

And I suppose calling it a Kush Ride really wouldn't fly with a lot of people Laughing

Ya some peeps would be uptight about that. I'm all for it. Make them a limited edition, with green color sound coating.
