heyy, kinda new to snare drums

Does anyone know what type of snare I could use for a hard rock band?

I really like the sound of Atreyu's new albums drums
What sizes and makes/wood would make it sound like that?

its not gonna sound like that because thats alot of the sound is in eqing, micing, etc.

if you post a link to the song we could tell you what kinda snare would have that type of sound tho

hey SGarrett what heads/snare wires do you like best on your Acrolite the most?

what sound does that give you?

I've only tried one combo so far because I just got it. Aquarian Texture Coated batter, Hi-Energy snare side, and a Gibraltar 20 strand snare. I"m going to pick up another Texture Coated head with a power dot and see what that does for the sound.
