I have a 20' K Custom Dry Ride... I have a 14' K Custom Fast Crash... 11' K Custom Splash... 13' K/Z Hats... 16' A Medium Thin Crash... and 14' & 16' AAX Crashes (don't mesh as well as I would like, I want to sell or trade them)... I want something washy to ride as an offset to the Dry Ride... I want a 20' Dark Ride, but I need larger crash to duo my 14' Fast Crash... Should I get the 18' Crash/Ride? Would that kill 2 birds with one stone? There's not a great music store nearby... Enlighten me... You guys know more than I...

I would recommend checking out Zildjian's website. They have sound files of their cymbals. Some have multiple files for different uses. At least there you can get an idea of what the cymbal sounds like. Good luck.

zildjian does have sound samples, but after hearing them recorded vs in person i think it gives a very different impression (i guess that could be expected..), but i would think that 18 crash/ride would be a pretty nice offset if you do already have a solid base ride; another ride i'd suggest looking into is the k custom hybrid 20" ride, very crashable, nice washy ride sound.

Thanks guys... I got a really good deal on a dark ride and found that the crash qualities mesh well with the rest of my cymbals...
