he's awesome. piece of mind and powerslave are two of the best metal albums ever. he plays a lot more ride cymbal than most metal players, utilizes all those toms in a really melodic way, and has freaking awesome time and feel.

I saw maiden on the somewhere in time tour in corpus christi way back. really good show, the whole band is so on point live. they had this huge eddie that walked around on stage. it fell over at one point, and bruce dickinson had to dive out of its way when it fell. they didn't even miss a step, kept playing their asses off. some roadies came out with ropes and got eddie back on his feet. good times.

definately an awesome drummer. I think the song was either where eagles dare or 7th son of a 7th son but I loved it. talk about weird tom angles on his set though

I know, his tom heads are almost vertical! I think my three favorite drum performances by him are The Trooper, Powerslave, and Aces High.

Nicko is the man. what a drummer and a funny guy. he has the best attitude!

yeah you don't hear much about him, i wouldn't go as far as saying he was underrated but would definitely be cool to hear more about his drumming etc...

I love Nicko especially since he uses one bass and a single pedal and that is still metal! sometimes people forget what real metal is.

Love Maiden and Nicko is very under estimated as a drummer. He is a great metal drummer and in my opinion is one the the greats that paved the way for metal drumming. P.O.Y!

he plays really stylin' parts. That whole band is on a really high level performance and musicianship-wise. Steve Harris is one of the greats as well.

the thing that's always struck me about him is how humble he is about his talents.

Man nicko is the man. I saw Maiden at ozzfest 2 years ago (2nd best concert i've ever seen) nicko's kit was soo massive you couldn't even see him behind it. I mean literally I saw him once on the jumbo screens they had in a 2 hour period.

Maiden Rules though!
