DM5 -Pro with Surge cymbals...
I'm ordering the DM-5 Pro next week but wanted to know if any of you guys have the Surge cymbals with this kit? I'm concerned about the stick noise and response before I get them. Or should I go with just the standard kit. Just wondering what my bro's and sis's thought! Peace on ya!

Nope..20 some odd years and this is my first one. I have a feeling that the brass will have a pretty noticable sound even when using a head set. Just a concern. The research that I did online had some decent vids and sound. I'm just concerned with playing rubber cymbals! P.O.Y!

ive played a couple electronic drum kits and the ruber cymbals are really good with great responce, but the hats on the kit was kinda delayed even when i was using the foot pedal. i think gregs got a electronic kit he could tell you a lot more then me but on the crash and ride cymbals it responds to a sound depending on whre u hit it just like a real crash.you hit near the bell more of a ping sound. sorry if i wasnt much held..

I've never used the surge cymbals before but the regular cymbals that cam with my DM5 Pro are felt or something.
And the hi-hat pedal has like a delayed reaction.

I may go with the surge cymbals...gonna have to wait until mid June for the release though. The deal is wait and save $179.00 or get the dm5 pro and get the cymbals later and spend the $179 extra. I hate waiting!! P.O.Y!
