The O-trash dude. The Z is very dense and doesn't have the sharp accent that most drummers like in a china. Peace on ya!

2 extremely different sounds. The Z splash actually sounds more like a 14" crash. If you specifically want the china sound stay with the oriental. Peace on ya!

I agree with stump. The oriental splash will definetly go well with the oriental china. Go for the oriental out of the two

I have 18" & 20" Trashes. Big difference between the two. The 18" is alot higher pitched (more than you would expect) and has way less decay. The 20" is alot louder.
Hope this helps.

I have both the 9" and 11" trash splashes. The 9" is a great dark splash for moments when you want to change the volume in a song. The 11" is more musical, like the 12" Z splash. I don't use that too much.
Something to point out is that these splashes sound great when you play them right after each other, going from the 9" to the 11".

The Z-custom china dosnt have the sharp tones that the Oriental Trash will give i prefer the
Oriental Trash.

Oriental Trash is one of the best Chinese cymbal I've tried! I haven't really got to try the Z customs but I think that Z customs is not a good cymbal! They're not musical at all!
