i dont rearly like mastersound hats there a bit heavy for my taste i tried them out tody and was suprised how weird they sounded i dont like the chick sound when shut but when open they sound alright rearly good for bating the crap out of them Cool

I now have the A Custom Mastersounds and the Avedis Mastersounds. The A Customs are actually a bit thinner and, of course, have a "glassier" sound. I like the heavier sound of the Avedis for playing open hat, but I prefer the more brilliant sound of the A Customs for most everything else. That is basically the exact opposite of your taste lol.

Regardless, I've learned never to judge a cymbal solely by what it sounds like the store. Putting them on your own kit and swapping them back and forth is the only way to tell in most cases.

I played them for the first time the other day. I had the 15, 16's and 17's all stacked on my left really close together where the 16 crash normally goes... it was INCREDIBLE!!!!

BTW, I did go with the 20" Custom Ping ride.
