I just got cymbal mates. They do not screw in on my stands. I have a DW Cymbal stacker and a bunch of Pearl harware which I believe is the 9000 series. Some might be 8000 or something. Why do they not work?

not sure what they are but if theyre anything like vater slick nuts they have two versions with two different diameters. did you get the right diameter?

the threaded post on a cymbal stand comes in 2 different sizes. so theyre probly just the wrong size for your stand
