actually, now that I'm home w/more time to look at it you should really consider setting it up like Danny Carey (Tool) and see how that works for you. You already have two hi-hats anyway...throw one of them between your rack toms and try it out.
Aside from only seeing Carey play this setup, this is where I actually found the most info on it a few years ago...can't believe I remembered what to type into google to track it down...

Those two are on the ground because I had to steal stands to mount that bass drum. When I get another tom stand, they are going to be mounted on the left side, just like in the pic.
