 Mitch Mitchell
This guy is soo good. One of my all time favorite drummers, and an inspiration.
I think a lot of people unlook him and his drumming cus of hendrix guitaring away at the front.
Ha thats a common thing...

Mitch Mitchell is my hero!
He has some amazing chops, grooves like a MONSTER, and just about every time he sits behind a kit, something tasty comes out.
Love the guy!
Sunoanbuki - agreed, Manic Depression is uber tasty

Mitch is amazing. I love how he never took back seat to Jimi but never overtook him either.

I had the pleasure of teching for Mitch over the weekend for Mick Taylor's show at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
It was great to hang out for 3 days with him, talking drums (and ...... stuff!!) and quite a 'surreal' experience to stroll with him to the cab rank at King Cross station late on Saturday night, chatting about how we both started playing, favourite drums, cymbals etc......
Lovely guy, funny, considerate and very, very entertaining.

He was a huge inspiration on my rock playing.
He pioneered fusion drumming in a way, because he brought traditional jazz drumming into hard rock. He's definitely the reason that I swing rock beats nowadays.
