As in practice pad?? I practice on a Roland Rhythm Trainer. I used to practice on a Vic Firth pad before that. Aaaaaand before that i practiced on a mouse pad. Just cut it in a circle and glue it to some mdf or something. Works a charm!

i use an hq realfeel as a "snare" pad and 6" vic firths as "toms/hi-hats"
and a gibralter bass pad as well bass...

they are all awesome, my hq is double sided
a harder side for work outs and exercises
and a softer side for technique work and speed

Am kind of interested in those Rhythm Trainers, how exactly do they work? What features do they have and how exactly do you practice on one?

They're great. I carry the lower model one with me almost everywhere. Its basically just a Roland mesh head with a metronome built in but it lets you do lots of exercises like keeping time with rhythmic note changes and there's one for stroke balance which i find heaps useful. Check it out...

Ah thanks! I wish I had found that same page when I was looking for a proper description of it. Man that looks perfect for me, I really need to practice with a metronome and that looks so fun to do it on. Although I like my current HQ pad, its striking material can't compare to a mesh head. Thanks!
