For those unfamiliar with John, he's is the triggerless wonder from Colorado's Cephalic Carnage. Had the opportunity to play with these guys once (their stage show was nuts) and toss back some Jim Beam with John and the rest of the band. Aside from being one helluva a drummer, he's a good, humble dude. Couldn't find a live clip with good sound, but here's an album sample for the uninitiated.

I've seen Cephalic more times then I can count, they're all cool guys. Whoever told you he never uses triggers was lying. He was even using them at the Blast-Off.
