Post difference in stick weight!@!@
i purchased a pir of vater chad smith funk blasters about 2-3 weeks ago and there broken so i got my dad to pick me up 3 pairs of the same sticks from the same store becuase i liked them , when he got home he had them and i picked them up and as soon as i picked them up i could feel a quite large difference in weight between all three pairs and my old pair. i can assure you there is a difference in weight and it has nothing to do with loss of wood on my old pair from playing because theres not enough wood gone to change it that just the indents from rimshots cymbals ect. what should i do ?

Well, your new sticks might be denser (if that's the word). This could mean your new sticks are of better quality than your previous. Just a guess though. I too feel a difference between pretty much all of my sticks.

Weight matched pair. There's a spectrum of weight for every size stick and is indeed dependent on the density of the wood.

I never buy sticks without testing them first. In short, I tap every stick of a given size on either a practice pad, counter, or the floor to find the 4-6 sticks with the highest pitches. Those are the most dense and the 2-3 pair I buy.
