 at this sat's show
my band will play it's last show this sat before we all go our separate ways. at this show, my guitarist wanted to drum on a couple songs so i'm playing guitar on them. it's a good rest but i hate to watch him play my drums. i'm just worried that he'll break a cymbal or something else. and he moves my snare every time. he can't deal with it being tilted away but it just annoys the shit out of me.

If you play in lot's of band, you'll have lot's of last gigs, so I wouldn't get too excited about it, but have fun anyways. However, here's what I don't get, if it's the last show and you don't like him playing your drums then why let him? I mean, what can he do? It's the last gig, just say No.

homi, half the band is grad students, which is how we all met. we're all graduating and moving. it's definitely a friendly break. just geography.
gideon, we just doing it for fun and we're buddies. i don't really have a problem with it, fundamentally. it's just weird and hard to watch somebody else who isn't a drummer playin my drums sometimes, you know? he drums a bit, but not really quite yet. but again, it's just for fun and it's only two songs.

yeah I had my first rehearsal yesterday playing base and singing .. new door, great fun.
The drummer is funny, not bad, but he lacks tightness and I really needed to get me together not to tell him to play tighter 'everytime' .. 
and his 16th hand to hand on hihat beat .. oh we have to work on that.
on topic... what about a little guitar shredding, he probably has some awkward moments?
