As if The Mars Volta wern't already crazy..............they ad thomas prigden........(INCREDABLE?)
I've been watching his gospal chops stuff and its just redicules. Def a person to look up to!

He's got crazy chops. And not to be racist or anything, but a lot of black people play like that. Just crazy flow around the kit, and immense control. He's going to be one of the greats when he gets older.

yeah, for some reason alot of black kids have groove just flowing out of theyr'e ears.

one of the other things i like about him is how in an interview he dosn't gloat or be stuck up and say "IM THE BEST" hes just chill and says motivational stuff like "if you try at what you like you will go far" or something. that is soooo great that hes like that on top of being an AMAZING drummer

you would probably be better off just listening and trying to figure it out for yourself.
I bet tabs for that album would be, to quote Thomas, "hella" hard to read.

I think Guitar Center just recently released a catologe with a interview with this guy, and man hes already accomplished so much in his drumming career its INSANE!
Deff. a great insperation to anyone whos got the dream and wants to get out there and go for it.
