does anyone put oil on their iron cobras and how often and where exactly do you put oil?

i oil them once every 1-2 months, enough to keep them nice and smooth. As for where, usually any part that moves.

I usually oil em' up whenever they start squeeking. It's also a good idea to oil them before you go to record. Where: Where the heel plate and footboard meet, sides of link, where the chain meets the footboard, basically anywhere where there will be friction. As what to use: 4 in 1 oil or anytype of multi purpose or machine oil will work great.
