They don't help, and what's worse is they all like to pile there shit on the drum riser while I'm trying to set up... as if bending that extra foot to pick up their guitars is going to kill them...

so while I'm humping my whole set in solo, i have to yell at them to move their stuff so can set up... and after I have to clear all their empty beers to get off

it has been the fuel for more than one bad trip on my part...

this is for a band playing backing for a drama society

if im late for rehersals they usually move my whole kit into the practice space before im even there Razz

then they leave it for me to set up myself and run through songs im not a major part of

at the end they all grab a drum and someone goes to get security to open up the doors for me

i think i've got a pretty sweet deal

This is why I have my own drum tech that helps me load in and set up. Mostly everybody in the band helps load in (except for the singer, who likes to be fashionably late! haha), but it's usually me and Bill (my drum tech) who help me load in for shows and set up.

It's a pain in the ass when there are 10 people all over the stage, in the way, standing around when I'm trying to get through and set up. And when people bring my equipment in and spile it all on the drum riser, when I have to set the rack up first, which I have to have no equipment on the riser!

After shows, the following practice, all my stuff is already loaded into the rehearsal space and all I have to do is set up.

yes they help, they help carry everything when its packed in cases. once its in they find it better to stay away and let me unpack and i prefer it that way. at the same time i help them, lifting a cabinet down the stairs, carrying a guitar case, whatever i can do. its communal with bands ive been in, its like a team effort. that being said, we set everything up individually.

Yeah I'll let my band mates take the stuff out of the car and move it back stage! Helps with time and setup. and Once I've broken the stuff back down (I being the key word here) we all move it back to the car!
