Post Ok so heres my kit, check it out!

Kit Spec:

Drums: Mapex Vx Series in Wax cherry

22x18 Kick drum
8x7 rack tom
10x9 Rack tom
13x13 Hanging floor tom (In green Laquered finish, still V series) Got a great deal
16x16 floor tom on legs (in red laquered finish Still V series) also, Got a great deal

to my left:
12x9 Hanging rack tom

Snare:Joey Jordison signature snare 13x 6.5
Pearl 14x5.5. (additional)

Skins:
All toms have coated ambassadors on top and clear ambassadors on the bottom.
Snare has a coated Emperor on top and an Ambassador clear on the bottom.

Cymbals (not the best in the world, But they do me just fine Smile) Mix of:
Left to right:
20" Sabian ride (has an OK pingyness to it)
14" stagg dh china
20" zildjian ride
14"sabian Hi-hats
12" Stagg china
16" UFIP tiger crash
8" zildjian splash
7" Stagg bell cup
9" stagg splash
18"UFIP crash
14" zildjian x-hats (closed)
20" sabian ride
17" stagg crash
16" zildjian Crash
16" stagg china

I love the sound of the Stagg effects cymbals.

As you can see i have a lot of cymbals i love the different sounds you achieve from using more cymbals.

You may also have noticed i use 3 Rides? The reason being i use A LOT of double ride patterns in my playing and each ride gives off a different pitch. i like to alternate between each ride for the different pitch in sound!

Hard ware: Gibraltor inc/ Gibraltor Rack

Pedal: Axis XL2 Double Pedal (main)
Yamaha Dfp-3910 Flying dragon double pedal (used every now and then)

Sticks: Vic Firth Extreme 5a (swear by them)

Thanks for looking

That's exactly what I said!

For some reason, dunno what it is, but that kit just makes me go o.o

I really like how you have it set up with both drums and cymbals.

Pretty nice. Seems a bit over the top for my liking but to each his own. If you ever record.....I'd hate to be your sound engineer and producer lol either that or you'd have a kit that's about a 4th that size. I'm guessing Slipknot is an influence? Just a stab in the dark lol

that's what I was talking about...there's no way I could deal with not being able to play the cymbal at any point on its surface.

Yeah the ride is actually supposed to be sightly further back...

They feel great!

Quite a light beater so I've added some weights to them to give a bit more of a feel.

But yeah they do just fine

Sweet kit. Love the sizes and finish too. My set up is very similar in size, and I have been considering a 2nd ride over my hats for a long time.....more so now that I have seen how it works on your kit.
