Post In Ear Monitors.
hey what kind of in ear monitors could you guys recommend? i have never had or used these, so i don't really know how they work. do they plug into the mixer board? and i was wanting them so i could play along to music with, but wouldn't the sound of my drums drown out the rest? i was planning on just getting the vic firth isolation headphones, but they have kinda bad ratings. price range of $100 - $200, i can't get the really good ones such as shures, but what would be good for that price?

thanks!

Hey fella, I've just bought myself Shure SCL4's. IEM's with interchangable sleeves. You can use custom moulded sleeves too if you wish. They're not top of the range but they're close. I'm using them live and for practicing, they're fantastic.

If your primary concern (as mine was) is noise isolation, they really do cut down the outside volume a lot!

I've since got a mini Yamaha mixing desk so I can mix together click tracks direct from the computer and a feed from the desk and hear everything brilliantly!

It's a great when you start using them! Very Happy

i was considering somewhere along the lines of SCL3, since it is probably the best bet for my price range.

For playing along to music just plug your earbuds into a MP3 player, and then put shooting-range headphones on over.

It works perfectly, and costs like $20.
