Post Keith LeBlanc
I'm somewhat biased, as he's my teacher, but damn! Definitely the best drummer I've ever seen play. Anyone else know of this guy or his work?

HECK YEAH!!

He used to be the drummer in the house band for Sugar Hill Records which later morphed into Tackhead. He was crucial to the sound of early hip hop. Tackhead was sheer madness on stage, what with all the dubstyle live remixing and effects Adrian Sherwood was laying on top of everything. Keith is sooo clean, precise and unique, and a total madman with the electronics.

HE'S YOUR TEACHER?!!! Envious.

You know, once I found out who he was, I rushed to my local store to sign up for lessons with him - he was actually recommended to me by the store owner, who is also a drum teacher. I feel privileged, indeed. Keith is a really nice guy, too. Very down to earth and not at all egocentric.

One other cool thing about taking lessons from him is that he has me record the whole lesson (on my mp3 player) every time, so I can go back over it later and make sure I've got everything.
