How do you hold your stick when you hit the hi-hat? My friend told me not to hold it with the thumbs to the side (which I never did anyhow) because it's to awkward when you change from the snare from the hi-hat and told me to hold it thumbs up. Holding it thumb up just feels weird, especially when I accent and it feels more comfortable when I hold it with my thumbs in between thumb up and thumb to the side. How should I hold it to help my drum playing more efficient?
