A Class act, that Gutrot. The snare you have should be fine for that type of thing.

Another thing to keep in mind is how the snare is hit and what kinds of sticks you use as well, not to mention head selection. Experiment with what you've got and you may be surprised at your results. In trying to achieve a particular sound, you may find one or many others that also may work for you. Have fun with it.
