 snare help please
i got a 14 in free floater,
the way i want it to sound is like the one on this song "gorging on menstral chunks"

Theres no way I can clik on that link and listen to a song with that name.
Just buy the studio, have the engineer set you up. Best bet.

Translation: The sound you hear is not the how the snare would sound if you were standing right next to it. EQ, reverb, and compression are what you hear.

Another thing to keep in mind is how the snare is hit and what kinds of sticks you use as well, not to mention head selection. Experiment with what you've got and you may be surprised at your results. In trying to achieve a particular sound, you may find one or many others that also may work for you. Have fun with it.
