 Man, now I'm bummin..
I'm out in my garage practicing, and I just noticed my china is cracked! It's an old school Avedis Ziljian, no markings other than the stamping, and it came with six holes drilled in it, so you could add sizzles. I got it used so I don't know how old it is, but I am none the less bummed.

How big is it? Does it have a large hollow Zildjian inked logo on it? If not, at the stamp are there 3 dots in a triangle shape in the "U" of the Turkish character on the stamp? Let me know and I'll keep an eye out for a replacement for you. You'd be surprised at the deals you can find on some of those 60's and 70's swishes.

I have never seen any inked logo on it (may have been polished off for all I know). The stamping is the usual, the turkish kinda swirls and a few different dots, then Avedis Ziljian, then Genuine Turkish cymbals, then made in USA all about an inch and a half by an inch and a half. Oh, and it's an 18 inch.

Meh, it's a small crack less than two inches, running with the tonal grooves. I'll continue to beat on it!
But thanks for the sympathy bro.

Don't sweat it bro! Keep pounding away! As SG said...it will only enhance the sound. P.O.Y!

Yeah, and it's right on the facing shoulder. If it goes all the way around, then I have a custom cymbal, right?

Or you could hack that thing down and you got half the makings for a stacker. Just buy some cracked thin crash off ebay cheap for the other half.

I wouldn't have to go far to find broken crashes, maybe three feet!
