seriously, i think websites should list a customisable drum config on their sites

Basically so you could order each drum seperate for a low price

eg

12 x9
16x16
22x16

instead of

8x8
10x8
12x9
14x12
16x14

14x5.32345 snare

20 boom stands and a crap bass drum pedal

seriously itd be alot better

It makes financial sense for them to package sets the way they do. Packaged sets have to meet a certain price point that high-end sets do not, so they give the consumer more for their money. It makes it easier on the dealers and consumers to offer sets as packages.

yea theres no way a company could make money selling a low end kit if they had to package every kit to custom specifications, there would just be to much labor overhead for the drums to still be affordable.

In my entire life, I have never felt the urge to post about drum sizes while drunk. I have thought about getting breakfast, I have considered getting laid, I even once thought about heading home and crashing... But I have never EVER said "hmmmm... wouldn't it be better if drum companies offered individual drums in any size I want.... "
